Kindergartners with Paintbrushes

This

. . . is what my art room looked like after three classes of kindergartners weilding paintbrushes had gone back to their respective classrooms.  It was a fun time, but very labor intensive!

I used a method recommended by a fellow art teacher — as a class, paint with yellow first, then orange, red, green, blue, purple, brown.  It was quite successful and my yellows are not all full of shades of brown
And they LOVE to paint.  They were so excited when they came to art because they knew they would be painting!

The finished product.   It’s the teddy bear Corduroy, can you tell?  He’s sitting on a toy shelf with a beach ball and baseball.
